Dr Patel was very kind and understanding throughout my various outpatients appointments and day case tests. He listened carefully to my symptoms and explained the tests I would need and why. I was extremely anxious about one particular procedure and he was very patient and reassuring. His PA, Philippa, is very efficient, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Dr Patel.

I felt totally assured and put at ease. All my questions regarding the procedure were answered and I felt very confident in Dr Patel's care. Dr Patel was very thorough in terms of carrying out blood tests too and it was helpful to receive feedback on these in addition to the actual procedure. Pre and post procedure meetings, and of course the actual procedure itself, carried out professionally. Would be very happy to recommend Dr Patel.

Dear Dr. Patel, First of all please accept my apologies for not replying earlier! I arrived at Ashtead Hospital on Monday, 28th March 2022, with upper abdominal pain. It was arranged that I see Dr.Patel at 4:30pm. He was courteous, supportive, examined me immediately and arranged a CT scan and blood tests for the next day 1st.March, as it was too late to complete them the same day. He also arranged for a doctor to take the blood tests just before I had the iodine injection pre CT scan in order to save time. Excellent 'Time Management' I was given a further appointment on 7th. March, Friday 8:00am. to discuss the results. He advised a gastroscopy procedure on the 10th March Monday..... the 8th and 9th being the weekend when the hospital is closed! The speed with which Dr. Patel arranged the first consultation, blood tests, assessment, and gastroscopy was impressive and very reassuring for me. His professional and organizational skills are outstanding! Pre -op he explained the procedure again as he was aware I had a phobia about anyone touching my mouth (This due to badly broken jaw some years ago). In theatre Mr. Patel and his team were welcoming and supportive, taking particular care when using the mouth spray into the back of my throat. MY ANXIETY LEVEL WAS ZERO !! Post op I recovered quickly and able to enjoy tea and sandwiches, no problem swallowing! In conclusion Dr.Patel is most professional, deserving much praise for his skills.
